The theory that all life on earth came from the swamp is a compelling one. In the 19th Century, in a scrawlier hand in a well read calf-skin notebook explains Creation, those huge perfections, a child’s warren of new ideas calling all creeds flawed. A linear paradox ensues called Evolutionary Theory that proves irrefutably the common ancestry of all living things from Nature’s Original Primordial Soup. This wine pays homage to the primordial soup theory and brings together in two ‘soups’ (a red and a white) some truly outstanding grapes from the winelands of the Western Cape. Each vintage varies depending on which cultivars ae at the top of their game, but the quality never wavers. It’s a natural selection of sorts, and at this price - evolutionary.

A rich and bloody bouillabaisse of the Western Cape’s classical cultivars, packed with juicy life, red in tooth and claw. It has a nose of creamy summer pudding and a palate of crushed cherries with a cranberry tang and texture. It’s the Natural Selection.
