Located in… wait for it, the hamlet of Badachro in the Scottish Highlands, Gordon & Vanessa hand pick an array of exquisite botanicals from the surrounding hills, woodland, fields and shores of the Gairloch and combine them in our beautiful (and rather mature) copper pot still ‘Delilah’. She marries the subtle flavours and scents of local botanicals with a carefully selected combination of traditional botanicals, herbs & spices to create an absolutely delicious, unique and authentic taste of the Highlands. Juniper, wild myrtle, coriander, gorse blossom, lavender, rose-hip petals and elderflower among other delights, combine to create a distinct and delicious taste which is unique to our stunningly beautiful land of purity, clarity and wonder.
Badachro Distillery Bad na h-Achlaise Single Malt
46% abv
This stunning amber gem is the result of having vatted two very carefully selected casks from a Highland distillery, to produce this lightly peated dram which has been finished in Tuscan red wine casks prior to bottling. It has developed a wonderfully deep character and
slight blush in colour. It’s very North West Highland, in conversation with an old Tuscan friend.
This premium single malt Scotch whisky beautifully marries the wonder of peated and unpeated spirit, to produce a characterful and finely balanced expression of the rugged and
yet romantic northwest Highlands.
Nose: Smoke infused with lemon-grass and fresh hay, subsiding to unveil ripe peach and candied apricots.
Palate: Red berries sprinkled with a peppering of peat on the back of the tongue.
Finish: ‘Highland Breakfast’ of warmed oats and pouring cream with pockets of fresh fruits. All enjoyed from an oak spoon.
All together: Balanced, adventurous and four seasons in a dram.
